The story of new & young brand Edoaria by Founder Alexandra

Who are you, and what inspired you to create Edoaria?

I am Alexandra Emonts, the founder, designer, and creative director of Edoaria. I launched the brand in 2024, blending my passion for art, design, and Greek heritage. I hand-illustrate or hand-paint each of my designs and turn them into beautiful, timeless embroideries on soft, elegant fabrics and accessories such as pouches and travel bags.

How did your childhood and roots influence your vision for Edoaria?

Growing up in my mother’s and grandmother’s leather goods & accessories boutiques, I was captivated by the creative displays, the energy of the shops, and the rhythm of the seasons.

I am half Greek and have always been surrounded by rich Greek traditions, food, culture, and family. I have deep roots in both the mountains of Tricala and Athens and spent many summers in Greece (I love the islands).

The vibrant blues of Greece, from the sky to the sea, inspired the color palette of Edoaria, and the Greek “Mati” (evil eye) protection symbol remains close to my heart (I even incorporated it in my logo).

What themes are central to Edoaria, and why are they important to you?

Greek heritage is at the heart of Edoaria, with themes like astrology, protection symbols, and divination woven throughout.

These are themes I grew up with. Over time, my travels and growing interest in astrology, moon cycles,… deepened my connection to these elements.

I noticed a lack of subtle, elegant representations of these themes, and that’s what I wanted to bring to life with Edoaria.

What impact do you hope Edoaria will have on your customers?

I want Edoaria to be a source of personal connection and inspiration for our customers.

By choosing Edoaria, they not only support a young, sustainable brand, but they also contribute to the preservation of marine life through our commitment to ocean conservation.

Our small-batch production and local partnerships aim to create a more responsible, eco-conscious fashion industry.

The pieces are designed to carry meaningful symbols—like astrology and protection symbols— and a bit of magic in an elegant, subtle way, perfect for those who want to express their beliefs without being overly obvious.

Ultimately, I hope customers feel a deeper connection to the stories behind Edoaria, its mission, and the values of sustainability and artistry that drive the brand.

How does sustainability shape Edoaria’s mission?

Sustainability is at the core of Edoaria. We use 100% recycled materials, from our packaging to the products we create. We’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint and promoting eco-conscious choices.

What’s next for Edoaria?

Looking ahead, we aim to offer 100% organic cotton and recycled material pieces, as sustainability is key to our vision.

We also pledge 2% of our sales to marine wildlife protection. By 2026, we hope to raise enough money to make an impact by :

  • Adopting or reintegrating ocean animals into the wild,
  • Contributing to ocean conservation,
  • Creating a collection dedicated to marine wildlife, and
  • Launching an awareness campaign for the protection of ocean mammals.
